I have recently emailed XL Recordings due to copyright problems. As I am using a song from one of the artist's from XL Recordings, I emailed them to notify them. I am now awaiting a response from XL Recordings, and I will carry on with the project unless I receive something from them.

The predominate group of people in the genre are asian and black teenagers between the age of 16-19

2.) What are the common stereotypes?

The common streotypes are Hooded thugs, hooligans, rappers, etc

3.) Are they traditional or modern representations?

4.) What changes have there been in society which have impacted on the representations of your groups?

Gentrification of urban areas, refurbishing of schools and areas, more jobs being available for youths

Location Shoot

For the video shoot we have decided that we will be using two types of contrasting areas; An urban selection on locations, and also an urban gentrified area cabot circus.

Below Is one of the urban locations.

Stapleton Road

Another Urban area we may use for the video is a on the corner of Sheppards Road, not far from an array of council flats and corner shops.
Another location we may use is Oldbury Court Park parking entrance.

Another location we may use is near lower ashley road, which consists of graffiti and tunnels for an Urban look.

For the Gentrified Area we are planning on shooting inside and around Cabot Circus, which is a newly developed shopping complex.

Genre - Codes and Conventions Intro

The proposed genre we are planning on doing for our music video is going to be UK Grime / Hip Hop. Whilst producing the music video we have been asked to consider the codes and conventions aswell as challenging them. To understand these conventions, I will analyse existing music videos of the selected genre.

Brief

A promotion package for the release of an album, to

include a music promo video, together with two of

1 – A website homepage for the band:

2 – A cover for its release on DVD

3 – A magazine advertisement for the DVD
